The squad also removed banners and posters of political parties and religious events put up at Bapat Square, Maruti Nagar, Sukhliya, MR-10 Road and adjacent areas.

Earlier, the civic body also launched a drive against stray animals and caught over 25 cattle from different parts of the city and sent them to the cowshed by three vehicles. The officials said that the drive would be continued in other parts of the city in the days to come.

IMC member in Council Chandu Shinde said that following several complaints from the locals in this regard, the  drive was conductedin the area.

A chaos was witnessed at BRTS Corridor when IMC market removal officer, Mahendra Singh Chouhan drove through the area on a motorcycle.

Fearing that the officer was there to start a removal drive on corridor, roadside kiosk owners & handcart pullers started leaving the spot. "I was just standing in front of Orbit mall when I noticed that roadside kiosks & handcart pullers started leaving the spot," said Chouhan.
