The dense fog that engulfed northern India on Tuesday morning affected the schedule of Indore bound trains and flights.

“Four trains arrived in the city late than their usual time due to the fog. The condition is likely to persist for a month or so as dense fog along the routes of these trains will make it difficult for them to stick to their timings, “ said Pradeep Sharma, PRO (Western Railway).

The Hazrat Nizamuddin Intercity express arrived at 1.15 pm more than an hour behind it scheduled arrival at 12 noon while Malwa Express arrived at 3.20pm, two and half hours late than its scheduled time of 12.50 pm. Kota-Indore Intercity  was delayed two hours  while Patna-Indore Express arrived  four and half hours behind its schedule time.

The late arrival of trains also led to late departure of some trains like Indore-Howrah Shipra Express that departed after a delay of three hours.

An Air-India flight from Mumbai arrived here around three hours late from its schedule arrival of 7.15 am. The flight then took off for Delhi at 11 am.
