Three days ago, reports of a pizza shop worker suffered serious injuries after being shot twice in the robbery in Sydney did the rounds in Australian media.
It has now been revealed that the victim, who walked to the police station with a bullet in his chest, is an Indian migrant who worked at Domino’s Pizza.
His brother, Shail Singh, has written to External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj seeking help.

Earlier, the victim was confronted in the early hours by a man carrying a gun and demanding money, ABC News reported..
The employee, who hasn’t been identified, was shot in his chest and hand during a fight with the man. According to his brother, the victim also saved the lives of his co-workers – all Indians.
With the help of another employee, the victim walked 450 metres to the local police station, SBS News said.
"It's quite amazing in the fact that he was able to walk and seek assistance," Inspector Matthew Hyde told reporters in Sydney on Sunday. "He's an extremely brave young person."
The man is in a serious but stable condition at Westmead Hospital, the report added. However, the victim’s brother has said that the bullet continues to remain in his chest.
Meanwhile, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has also responded to the plea and has informed the Consul General of India in Sydney, and the High Commissioner of India in Canberra to keep a stock of the situation.
I have asked @cgisydney to send me a complete report on this. They will provide all help and assistance to your brother and keep me informed. @HCICanberra https://t.co/AP3gERLEH5

While it is still too early to pinpoint whether this was a racist attack, but it also brings to light the attack on an Indian cab driver in Tasmania last year by a couple who were allegedly under the influence of alcohol.
