Indian jailed for 10 months in Singapore for molestating a woman

A 24-year-old Indian in Singapore was sentenced to 10 months in prison on Monday and ordered to be given three strokes of cane for molesting a woman during New Year celebrations.

Prathiban Pandu was accused of molesting a 44-year-old victim. Parthiban pleaded guilty of outraging his victim's modesty just after midnight on January 1. He was sentenced to 10 months in jail and ordered to be given three strokes of cane, the court ordered.

The incident took place in a recreation centre for foreign workers in Soon Lee Road in Boon Lay on the western industrial district of Singapore.
