Indian Army officer's proposal to girlfriend at passing out parade is the BEST thing you will see today

In a heartwarming story that looks straight out of a Bollywood movie, an army cadet's proposal to his girlfriend went viral on social media.

Army cadet Thakur Chandresh Singh's proposing to his girlfriend at the graduation ceremony at Officer Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai went viral on social media. It was the day he became an army officer and he invited his girlfriend and family to attend the ceremony. 

After his graduation ceremony, the newly inducted Indian Army officer went near his girlfriend and surprised her as he went down on one knee, held her hand and made the proposal. And ofcourse, she said yes! 

“I planned this moment the day I got recommended for the Army. We’ve been together for three-and-a-half years now, and I remember showing my parents a picture of her three years ago and saying ‘She is the one I’ve chosen’. But first, I had to make something of myself. I had to fulfil my dream," Singh was quoted as saying by The Print.

Their fairytale love story started in the corridors of St Joseph College of Arts and Science in Bangalore in 2012. They both were enrolled in different streams but as fate has it, they had one common subject - hindi. 

They started out as friends and as they graduated they already fell in love. Army officer Singh recalls the tough times he had to go through when her family did not agree to their relationship. Her family wanted him to be good enough to their lovely daughter. And wow, he did prove them right!
