Indian Army inducts 323 Jammu and Kashmir youths as soldiers

Over 300 youths, hailing from different parts of the state, were today inducted as soldiers in Jammu-Kashmir Light Infantry of Army after successfully completing 42-week long training course held at Regimental Centre in Srinagar.

Over 300 youths, hailing from different parts of the state, were today inducted as soldiers in Jammu-Kashmir Light Infantry of Army after successfully completing 42-week long training course held at Regimental Centre in Srinagar.

"As many as 323 youth from Jammu and Kashmir were inducted into the Army at a passing out parade held at Bana Singh Parade Ground in the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JAKLI) Regimental Centre," a defence spokesperson said on Saturday.

He said the Passing Out Parade, graduation of a recruit and his transformation into young soldier, was reviewed by Lieutenant General RN Nair, Director General Recruiting and Colonel of the JAKLI.

The soldiers of the Regiment took oath to serve the supreme cause of the nation, the Spokesperson added.
