Indian Army facilitates return of Kashmiri boy from Pakistan side of the border

A 13-year-old boy from Saria village in the state, who had inadvertently crossed over the border in Rajouri district, was returned to the Indian Army by Pakistan in Uri sector of Kashmir Valley on Wednesday.

"Army troops today facilitated return of a young boy Master Manzar Hussain, 13-year-old resident of Saria village, Jhangar who had been missing from his house from November 14 2014 onwards", an Army officer said.

The Indian Army on being told that the boy had inadvertently crossed over; it immediately approached Pakistan on humanitarian ground, he said.

"Indian Army spoke to the Pakistan Army and ensured the young boy crossed back to India from Uri Command check post yesterday late night", he added.

The return marks yet again the prompt action of the Indian Army to heed to calls of distress from its people. The boy at present is being moved to his village, he said.
