Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju on Tuesday said that India took appropriate action at the Line of Control (LoC) only after provocation, and then too after carefully analysing the situation.

Reacting to reports that Pakistan had lodged a protest against India for ceasefire violations at the United Nations, Rijiju said, "India doesn't create any problems at the LoC. Appropriate action is taken by the Border Security Force (BSF) only after analyzing the situation."

Earlier in the day, the Pakistan Government lodged a protest against India with the United Nations Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) over the alleged ceasefire violations by Indian forces along the LoC.

The Pakistan's Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) has also stated that the United Nations Military Observer Group will visit the affected areas.
