Pakistan has successfully managed to take up Jammu and Kashmir issue at international forums and created a lot of diplomatic problems to India in the last one year, confesses India security establishments.
The annual report of the Ministry of Defence (MoD) has clearly stated that despite making efforts to combat the Pakistan propaganda, they managed successfully to spread its propoganda about Jammu and Kashmir.
The MoD has said that the Indian Army is proactively engaging with the Ministry of External Affairs and Ministry of Home Affairs to counter propaganda both at international and national forums.
The report states: Pakistan, with renewed vigour in 2018, orchestrated an international campaign on Kashmir through its sponsored proxies by trying to project law and order maintenance actions as trumped-up human rights cases of excessive use of force."
It further points that Pakistan's effort to portray the Kashmir issue has received a fillip following the publication of two international reports by the office of United Nations Human Rights Commission and the British Parliaments All Party Coordination Committee.
So the Defence Ministry clearly stated that India was far behind in countering the campaign done by Pakistan on international forums. Now when the ministry realised the issue, they took help of Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of External Affairs to counter Pakistan's propaganda.
In May this year, reacting to a submission made by Geneva-based Human Rights Council (HRC) on the alleged violations in Jammu and Kashmir, India stated that from now onward it will no longer entertain any communication with the the United Nations HRC's Special Rapporteurs.
