BJP National General Secretary Ram Madhav on Saturday said in an interview to Al Jazeera that India, Pakistan and Bangladesh will reunited to form 'Akhand Bharat'. "The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) still believes that one day these parts, which have for historical reasons separated only 60 years ago, will again, through popular goodwill, come together and Akhand Bharat will be created," Madhav said.

Madhav, the RSS leader who is now one of the top leaders in BJP said that he continues to hold the view as he is from the right wing organisation. He added that he did not mean that India would annex or go on a war on any country but believes the unification of the countries will happen through popular consent.

He also commented about his earlier remark about calling India 'a Hindu country' saying that India was a land 'where a particular way of life, a particular culture or civilisation, is practised.' "We call it Hindu - do you have any objection? India has one culture. We are one culture, one people, one nation," he added.

He also spoke about the Awards Wapsi issue saying that the protesting intellectuals were doing so to defame the government and the image of India.

Madhav who is also in charge of BJP's 'Jammu and Kashmir affairs' said that only remaining issue to solve in order to bring peace to the region was the valley in Pakistan's occupation. He added that Kashmir was an integral part of India and that the political demands of Kashmir will be taken care of with the exception of demands of separation from India
