India gives befitting reply to Pakistan Army's intrusion attempt in Kupwara at Line of Control

Indian Army on Tuesday effectively thwarted an attempt by Pakistan's Border Action Team to intrude in the Keran Sector in Jammu and and Kashmir's Kupwara at the Line of Control.

Indian Army on Tuesday effectively thwarted an attempt by Pakistan's Border Action Team to intrude in the Keran Sector in Jammu and and Kashmir's Kupwara at the Line of Control.

According to the army sources, 7-8 armed intruders of Pakistan Army's Border Action Team attempted an intrusion at around 1 pm in Kupwara's Keran Sector.

Armed intruders came near Indian posts and were supported by nearby Pakistan posts by mortar and small arms fire.

The Border Action Team aim to cause damage to Indian post was effectively thwarted.

There were no own casualty on Indian side.

The Border Action Teams or BAT are a group of terrorists and Pakistan Army regulars.  In the Tuesday’s attempt they had to retreat.

Army spokesman at 15 corps headquarters also confirmed “close firing attempted by enemy” and said it was “suitably responded”.
