Independent corporator from Colaba, Makrand Narvekar, and a few activists today joined BJP, ahead of the February 21 civic polls in Mumbai.

They joined the party in the presence of Mumbai BJP chief Ashish Shelar.

Others who joined included Yuva Sena core committee member Swapnil Yerunkar, social activist Asif Bhamla and NCP activist Prashant Rele.

The list of BJP candidates for the BMC polls is almost ready, Shelar said. The final meeting to discuss seat allocation for BJP allies will be held later today, he added.
