On August 15, India celebrates 70 years of freedom from British rule. Given that India is a mostly young nation, a majority of us probably don’t understand or can comprehend what our grandparents and great grandparents endured to ensure that we were freed from the clutches of British rule.
All we can do is appreciate their efforts and celebrate the fact that we are today, the world’s largest democracy.
