In a U-turn, Rajinikanth now hails PM Narendra Modi

A day after stating that BJP might be dangerous if opposition thinks so, superstar Rajinikanth on Tuesday made a U-turn of sorts to hail BJP despite opposition parties trying to form an alliance against it for the next year's Lok Sabha polls.

Rajinikanth, who is considered to be leaning towards the BJP, said on Tuesday that when 10 persons, in an apparent reference to the united opposition, align against one (BJP), "it is for you to decide who is stronger".

The actor-turned-politician clarified, "My answer was if the opposition parties are seeing the BJP as a dangerous party, then for them [opposition parties],it is a dangerous party. It is for the people to decide [at the time of elections]," he said. When asked about his view on BJP, the actor said he would not make any comment as he was not a full-time politician yet. Rajinikanth announced his political entry on December 31 last year.
