IIT Kanpur and Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for development of advance technology, a statement issued by IIT said today.

IIT Kanpur and Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for development of advance technology, a statement issued by IIT said today.
As per the agreement, research would be conducted in the fields of combustion process, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and mechanical engineering, a release issued by IIT Kanpur said.
The MoU was signed by Prof Manindra Agarwal, dean R&D,IIT Kanpur and Dr Umakant Choudhury, executive director, (R&D), BHEL. IIT Kanpur director Prof Indranil Manna and T N Veeraghavan, director (R-D), BHEL were present on the occasion, it said.
Veeraghavan said that it will strengthen BHEL as IIT Kanpur is doing good work in field of scientific electronics.
BHEL, a Navratna company has also announced to constitute a chair at this educational institution.
