Days after RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat demanded a law for Ram temple construction in Ayodhya, Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Monday warned that if Hindus lose their patience, anything can happen in the country.

"Hindus are losing patience. If they lose their patience, anything can happen in this country. Either government should bring in the law or the court should give the judgment," said Giriraj Singh.

Speaking to Zee Media, Singh said that the Congress wants the Ram temple issue to remain disputed. "Kapil Sibal says that the decision should not come now. It means the Congress doesn't want the temple to come-up. But 125 crore Hindus are now not ready to wait. Enough of the wait," he said.

Earlier, BJP spokesperson GVL Narasimha Rao had said that the BJP is committed to constructing a Ram temple in Ayodhya and would wait for the Supreme Court's verdict on the issue.

A fortnight ago, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat demanded a law to enable construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya, saying it was necessary for "self-esteem" and to usher in an "atmosphere of goodwill and oneness".

The RSS chief said the Sangh has been associated with sentiments of crores of people in the efforts for construction of a magnificent Ram temple at the birthplace of Lord Rama, who is the personification of the life energy of the nation and icon of upholding the dharma.

He said "politics is delaying the construction of Ram Mandir" and that it is in "nobody's interest to test the patience of the society without any reason." The Ayodhya case is currently before the Supreme Court and the next hearing is scheduled for October 29.

Whereas attacking Modi, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray has said that he will visit Ayodhya on 25th November to remind Modi of his Ram temple promise.

On September 27, the Supreme Court declined to refer to a larger bench its 1994 verdict for a review over its "questionable observation" that "mosque is not an essential part of the practice of Islam", paving the way for the apex court to hear the politically sensitive main Ayodhya title suit from October 29.

Holding that the earlier observation was made in the limited context of "land acquisition" during the hearing of the Ayodhya case, the top court in a 2-1 verdict made it clear it will not have any bearing in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title dispute whose outcome will be eagerly awaited ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.
