Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray once again reiterated his party's demand that India should not play against Pakistan until the latter stops supporting cross border terrorism.

The Pakistan team arrived in India on Saturday evening and recieved a good welcome at Kolkata airport. But the chief is not happy, reports India Today.

"Biggest question is, do we need to play sports with a country which has backstabbed India?" Thackeray asked.

Speaking on the sidelines of an event at Chandrapur in Maharashtra, Thackeray said, "When jawans at the border will look behind and see that they have bombs in their hands while other's have a ball with which they are playing with Pakistan - either throw a ball or we'll throw a bomb - both cannot take place at the same time.We don't want to play such dangerous games".

Thackeray took a jibe at the Mamata Banerjee-led West Bengal government, which allowed the India-Pakistan World Twenty20 game to be held in Kolkata after the Virbhadra Singh government in Himachal Pradesh had said it could not provide security for the game. Thackeray said that political parties need to introspect whether they are indulging in vote bank politics, 'at the expense of the security of the country'.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee gave a written assurance of 'foolproof security' to the Pakistan squad this week, following which the Pakistani government gave the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) the green signal to allow the team to travel to India.
