India Against Corruption on Friday released evidence to allege that Congress had sent goons to disrupt its press conference held two days ago where they had made allegations against Reliance Industries Limited.
Towards the end of the press conference held on October 31, a man claiming to not be from any political party, had posed some questions to Arvind Kejriwal following which others joined in anti-Kejriwal sloganeering that resulted in chaos.
A shoe too was thrown at Kejriwal.
IAC alleged that this man, who they said is named Jagdish Sharma, seemed to be a ‘close aide of the Gandhi family’.
As proof, seven pictures of him, accompanying various members of the Gandhi family were released. These pictures are available on the IAC website. They show him alongside Robert Vadra and Sonia Gandhi suggesting he could be a party worker.
“It has been two days since the incident, has the Congress taken any action against him? It obviously means the Congress approves of such tactics. It seems the party has descended into cheap mafia and goon culture, disrupting meetings and beating up people at Farrukhabad,” IAC member Prashant Bhushan told DNA.
