Former Railway Minister Lalu Prasad took to Twitter to comment on the Railway Budget presented by Railway Minister Sadanda Gowda today.
I took up the “Challenge” of making Railways a profitable venture at a time when it was mired in huge debts.I didn't increase the fares1/4

Earlier in the day, Prasad had questioned where the money for the PPP schemes was coming from. "Who will invest in the railways?" he said.
Prasad said he feared the Railways was moving towards being privatised.
He had slammed the Railways Ministry's move to hike rail fare last month.
