Mumbai police Commissioner Dr Satyapal Singh who has tendered his resignation from the service to the state home department has said that those who feel that he had taken the decision after he didn't get DG's post of his choice is false and baseless.
"I am satisfied with my career in the police force. Those who speculate that I have resigned because I didn't got the DG post of my choice is totally false and baseless, " Singh told DNA on Friday.
He added that he had heard voice of his soul and had taken this decision. "From here on, I have to serve my country," he said.
When asked which political party he has planned to join, Singh said, "I have not yet decided whether I have to join BJP or AAP. At an appropriate time the decision will be communicated."
