After Telangana Board Results were decalred yesterday, two students in Hyderabad allegedly committed suicide in separate incidents over their poor performance.

While one student was studying in Class XI, the other had appeared for XII board exams, police said.

A 16-year-old student of Intermediate first year (XI) at Kukatpally failed in four subjects in the results declared yesterday, they said.

He was a student of Intermediate first year with Maths, Economics and Commerce (MEC) group.

The parents had left for work after consoling him. The boy's father called him around noon but he did not respond, the police said.

The boy's body was allegedly found hanging from the ceiling fan.

In the other incident, a 16-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide after she got poor marks in the Intermediate first year exam at Vanasthalipuram yesterday. 

The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) declared the results of Inter 1st year exam 2018 (Class XI) and Inter 2nd year exam 2018 (Class XII) on April 13.

The results were declared on Telangana Board's official website bse.telangana.gov.in. The Telangana State Board Inter I & II Year exams were conducted between 28 February, 2018 and 19 March, 2018.

The overall pass percentage of the second year students was 67.06% while 62.35% were successful in first year board exams. 

While 4.29 lakh students appeared for the second year exam, 4.55 lakh candidates appeared for the first year exam.
