Following a court order, police on Tuesday registered a case against TDP MLA Revanth Reddy for his allegation that the Telangana government hiked fees of medical colleges after being bribed by some management associations of institutes.
"It's a court-referred complaint. Following the court's directive, a case under sections 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 505 (statements conducive to public mischief) was registered against Revanth Reddy," Murali Krishna, Banjara Hills Police Station officer, said.
The Telangana Private Unaided Medical and Dental Colleges Managements Association has already refuted the allegations levelled by the TDP legislator.
