Hyderabad-based TCS techie drowns in a waterfall in US

Namboori Sri Datta had gone to a waterfall in Arizona with his friends on Sunday, where he drowned.

Tata Consultancy Service (TCS) network engineer Namboori Sri Datta from Hyderabad, drowned in US on Sunday.

According to Times of India report, the 25-year-old had gone to a waterfall in Arizona with his friends on Sunday. While he was playing with his friends in water, his leg may have slipped and he fell in and drowned. 

Sri Datta was employed with TCS for the last three years and had been working at CVS Health site in Tempe. The waterfall where the group went to was a three-hour drive from their location.

Datta's family, who stays in Kamala Nagar in Vanasthalipuram, were informed about the incident on Monday. His mother, N Ragamani informed the daily that they had last met him in 2012 when he had come back to India to visit them. "He was planning to come home in August to take his younger brother to the US," she said. Sri Datta's younger brother Yagna, had chatted with him three days back via Whatsapp. 

Datta had received his B Tech degree from SVIT College, Secunderabad, post which he moved to the US to study MS. He completed his course at the University of Cincinnati and started with working Wipro in States. He was later employed with TCS.

His family has requested the Centre and the state governments of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to bring his body back to the country at the earliest.
