Home Minister to inaugurate 6th Hunar Haat

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will inaugurate the latest edition of “Hunar Haat” organised by the Union Minority Affairs Ministry at Baba Khadak Singh Marg in Delhi on Sunday. The theme this year is “Development with Dignity”. Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi will be the chief guest.

Naqvi said, “Hunar Haat is organised by the ministry to provide opportunity and domestic and international exposure to master artisans from across the country. It has become a credible brand to fulfil Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to ‘Make In India’, ‘Stand Up India’ and ‘Start-Up India’.”

While on one hand, exquisite handicraft and handloom made by master artisans from across the country will be on display, people will also get a glimpse of traditional Indian music. Naqvi said in the last one year, hunar haats had been successful in providing employment and employment opportunities to more than 3 lakh artisans and other people associated with them. 

Hundreds of artisans from across the country, representing minority communities, are participating.
