The Andheri Court on Thursday granted bail to all five doctors, including the CEO, of Mumbai's Hiranandani Hospital arrested for allegedly carrying out illegal kidney racket.

A sessions' court had on Saturday sent all the accused to judicial custody till August 26.

As per reports, the doctors arrested in this case are hospital CEO Dr Sujit Chatterjee, Medical Director Dr Anurag Naik and three other doctors Prakash Shetty, Mukesh Shah and Mukesh Shete.

The racket came to light last month when the Mumbai Police received information that a kidney transplant operation had been scheduled at the privately-run Hiranandani Hospital where the donor and recipient were not related.

Nine people, including the donor, receiver and agents, were later arrested.

The Mumbai Police is examining all kidney transplants conducted at the hospital for the last one year so that they can build a water-tight case against the accused.
