Hero presents 159 scooters to Telangana women police officers

Under its CSR initiative, two- wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp today presented 159 scooters to women police officers of the Telangana Police.

Equipped with sirens, traffic lights and public address systems, the Hero scooters will allow women police officers to conveniently perform their patrolling duties, a release said.

The Hero scooters were presented to the women police officers who are part of the roving 'SHE Teams', a wing of the Telangana Police tasked with cracking down on eve-teasers and stalkers.

Hero MotoCorp (CIO and Head - CSR) Vijay Sethi handed over 70 scooters to Hyderabad Police Commissioner M Mahender Reddy, 50 to Cyberabad Police Commissioner Sandeep Shandilya and 39 scooters to Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh M Bhagawat, the released added.
