According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Mumbai and surrounding areas including Thane, Navi Mumbai will continue to receive severe spells of rain as of now.

Mumbai and nearby regions have been receiving widespread rainfall for the past 24 hours. The impact has been more towards the suburbs.
As per weather forecast, intense spells of rain are likely to continue in the next four hours while heavy to very heavy rainfall has been predicted in the next 24 hours. The local administration has requested Mumbaikars to take adequate precautions and ensure safety.
Heavy rainfall has caused waterlogging at various places across the city including Motilal Nagar, Goregaon West; SV Road, Goregaon West; Jogeshwari West; Oberoi Junction, Malad East; Malad Subway and Dahisar Subway.
Meanwhile, an underpass at Andheri has been temporarily closed due to waterlogging following heavy downpour in the region.

A high tide of 4.9 meters is expected to hit at around 1:44 pm. It is being projected as season's highest tide so far.

Bandra alone has received 4.06 mm rainfall in the past one hour and 52.78 mm in 24 hours. Borivali has received 14.47mm rainfall in the last one hour and 171.64 mm in 24 hours.
Along with heavy rainfall forecast by IMD today, there is a high tide of 4.90 meters at 1:44 PM.

Meanwhile, Dadar has received 12.45 mm in last one hour and 110.46 mm in past 24 hours.
Severe spells of rain have also hit Mumbai's life-line local trains which are running with a 10-minute delay.

Places including Andheri, Malad, Borivali, Dahisar, Motilal Nagar, Goregaon West, SV Road, Jogeshwari West, Oberoi Junction, Malad East, Malad Subway and Dahisar Subway are facing waterlogging issues.
Intense rains have caused traffic jams in the city as the movement is slow at SV road, Andheri Subway, Siddheshwar Mandir Jetty near proposed Sagari, at Behrambaug Junctions water has reached up to the level of Knees.
Meanwhile, waterlogging issues are being faced at Hanuman Nagar, Kandivali East, Sardar Pratap Singh, Sankul Janta Market, Bhandup Link Road, Inorbit and Infinity Mall complete stretch, King circle, Kanjurmarg West, Gandhinagar, Janakalyan Nagar, Malad West and JVLR western Suburbs.
