Congress President Sonia Gandhi has appointed Union Minister Harish Rawat as election coordinator for Madhya Pradesh, which goes to polls on November 25.

The Union Minister for Water Resources has reached Bhopal and taken up his new assignment, his representative Rajiv Jain said on Monday.
