The website of the Helicopter Academy to Train by Simulation of Flying (HATSOFF) has become the latest Indian defence website to be hacked.
HATSOFF is a joint venture owned equally by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and CAE. The website of the Bangalore-based HATSOFF, which offers simulator training to helicopter pilots, has been hacked by hackers claiming to be Code Breaker (Prince Attitude) and team cyber warriors.
The site has been defaced with pro-Pakistan slogans. The website, which is said to have been hacked two days ago, was brought to the notice of HAL and HATSOFF by dna on Wednesday morning.
An HAL official told dna that HATSOFF has taken serious note of the incident. He said that apart from restoring the site, the training institute will lodge a complaint with the Cyber Crime Police.
No official data has been stolen, he added.
