Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Yogendra Yadav on Sunday hailed his party's democratic nature, saying that the political organisation's internal lokpal, Admiral L Ramdas, has every right to criticise fellow members.

"Is there any other party in the country where there is an internal lokpal? Is there a party in the country where a senior can scold the members? If someone says something honestly, they will point out at both good and bad things, he has every right to do it," Yadav told mediapersons.

"It is written in the AAP constitution that the lokpal will not be the member of the party but will have more authority than even the highest decision-making body in the party," he added.

AAP leader Yogendra Yadav was reacting to the questions posed over Admiral Ramdas' letter to the party's top brass, expressing concern over the growing divide within the outfit.

Admiral Ramdas, in his letter, had reportedly sought to draw the attention of the founding members to the importance of 'internal unity' and appealed for a quick resolution to the ongoing conflict within the party.
