In the wake of Prime Minister Narendra Modi announcing 'Start up India, Stand up India' campaign, Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel on Saturday said her government will conduct meetings with bank officials to extend loan to the youths who wish to start their own business. "Start-up India, Stand-up India announced by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a way forward to harness our youth's entrepreneurial prowess," Patel said after unfurling the National Flag at Lunavada town of Mahisagar district, where the state-level Independence Day function was held.

"To take forward PM's appeal to banks, will conduct meeting with bank officials to extend loan to youth who wish to start their own business," Patel said. 

Modi, from the ramparts of Red Fort today announced a new campaign 'Start-up India;Stand up India' to promote bank financing for start-ups and offer incentives to boost entrepreneurship and job creation. Patel also announced to set up four skill development centres at four places in the state. "Skill is the key for our youth to empower themselves, soon four new skill centers based on PPP mode will be setup at four important locations in Gujarat," she said.

As part of clean and green initiative, the Chief Minister also announced to ban plastic in the state. "Keeping in view protection of environment, cattle health and cleanliness, have declared plastic ban across Gujarat," she said.
