Gujarat to tap changing economic scenario with new industrial policies: Chief Minister Anandiben Patel

Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel, said the state was geared to tap the changing economic scenario with new industrial policies that would put the nation at the global forefront.

"We are coming up with our new Industrial policies. These policies will enable us to fully tap the potential offered by the changing economic scenario at the national and global levels. Gujarat is fully geared up for Make in India, Digital India, skilled India and clean India," said Patel while addressing a news conference in Mumbai.

Patel was speaking at a curtain raiser of the Seventh Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors' Summit (VGGIS) to be held in January 2015, in New Delhi.

The state chief was accompanied by state Finance Minister Saurabh Patel and top officials of Gujarat.

Patel also held meetings with more than 50 industrialists in Mumbai. Consul Generals of four partner countries of Vibrant Summit 2015 attended the event. Patel further said the summit will lay emphasis on social sectors and specialised areas like climate change.

"We are giving a considerable emphasis on social sectors, including health, education and women empowerment in vibrant summits. Specialised areas like Innovation and Climate change are also given due attention," said Patel.

The curtain raiser was aimed to encourage investors from other states to set up business in Gujarat.

The events have been planned as pre-Vibrant Gujarat summit 2015 in major cities across the country, starting from Mumbai.
