Voting is underway in the second and final phase of the Gujarat Assembly Elections 2017. Over two crore voters are casting their ballots to seal the fate of 851 candidates contesting for 93 seats across 14 districts in Gujarat. The results of the polls in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's home state would be declared on December 18.

Over two crore voters are casting their ballots to seal the fate of 851 candidates contesting for 93 seats across 14 districts in Gujarat. The Election Commission said that they received complaints regarding machines between 8 to 9 AM. 8 ballot units, 8 control units and 24 VVPATs had issues and were replaced by the technical team.
The areas form which machines were replaced were Sanand, Vejelpur , Elise bridge , Dariapur , Jamalpur , Maninagar , naranpura , Nikol , Naroda , Daskoi, Dholka and Dhandhuka.
Meanwhile, Bluetooth complaints were received from Ghatlodai and 48 from Dholka and teams were sent to the spot, but nothing was found.

Hanspura village near Visnagar in Mehsana - a group clash reported between two communities.
A crowd attacked over polling station in Jahapura village near Godhra.
Tower Bajar area in Anand also witnessed disturbances. Two groups clashed and stone pelting was reported. Vehicles were also damaged.
