Team Amit Shah has delivered once again, wresting Gujarat in a tightly-contested election. This time, it came good on its promise to retain the high-stakes' bastion of Gujarat. In that group, two men, who besides being the party's strategists and implementers of stratagems devised by Shah, are also his most trusted lieutenants: national general secretaries Bhupendra Yadav and Anil Jain

Battle-hardened partymen, both have seen action in previous elections, including Bihar and UP, and enjoy the unquestioned trust of the party's top bosses. Silently and diligently, they have powered the war efforts of the party under the overall leadership of their party chief while marshaling local resources—men and materials —in Gujarat.

Yadav and Jain came together once again in Gujarat to script a crucial win for the party. While Yadav was the party in-charge of the state, Jain was called in two months before the polls to the state.

The two came together for the first time in Bihar, and then again in Uttar Pradesh.

Jain assiduously oversaw several departments such as media, social media, the feedback system and war room, among others. Booth-level arrangements and constituency-wise meetings were handled by Yadav. The war room was operated of 'Kamalam', the official address in Gandhinagar.

An extensive feedback system had been put in place by the party. To bolster outreach, national media in-charge Anil Baluni and Sanjay Mayukh had been stationed at Ahmedabad's media centre. Sambit Patra, a national party spokesman, also camped in the state to handle media and public debates.
