The Union law and justice minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Tuesday took a potshot at Congress president elect Rahul Gandhi on his temple visits. Speaking to mediapersons at BJP's media centre in Ahmedabad, Prasad claimed that Rahul Gandhi ran misleading campaign for Gujarat polls.

"He should understand that the development of Gujarat was not done by visiting temples but sheer hardwork. The white revolution, industrial revelution, growth rate of agriculture and well-being of people is not because of the temple run. Gandhi exhibited his Shiv Bhakti during Gujarat polls, but I want to ask him when he will show his Ram Bhakti. He should be clear on the issue of Ram Mandir whether that will take shape in Ayodhya or not," he said.

"The Congress president elect also took the help of myth during his campaign by spreading false information. He should understand that Gujarat's GDP was only Rs71,866 crore in 1995-96 which has increased to Rs10,33,791 crore in 2016-17 in BJP's rule. They are not coming out with the clarification on former PM Manmohan Singh's meeting with Pakistani officials. I fail to understand that what kind of ideology the Congress is going ahead with," added Prasad.

The BJP leader also expressed his optimism on BJP's victory in Gujarat and said that people of Gujarat have deep faith in BJP and leadership of PM Modi as evident when he was the CM. Gujarat wants peace and prosperity, that the BJP government in state have maintained and assured, added Prasad.
