Congress is being wiped out from the country but is dreaming of coming to power in Gujarat, said BJP national president Amit Shah in Kodinar on Friday during his tour to Veraval.

Shah also said that Congress cannot see the development in Gujarat as it does not have proper vision. Addressing a gathering at Kodinar, Shah said that Congress has been suffering setbacks from successive elections it is contesting across the country, refering to the results of elections to the local self government bodies in Uttar Pradesh on Friday.

"I would like to ask Rahul Gandhi on which issues Congress is contesting the Legislative Assembly elections in Gujarat. Why is there any need to seek votes from people as BJP has done all the development works in Gujarat," said Shah.

The BJP president said that Congress cannot see the work done in Gujarat as they are looking through 'Italian spectacles'. If they use spectacles made in Kodinar, they would be able to see the development clearly.

Shah alleged that Congress has divided the society in the name of caste and hatred. "No sooner they start speaking, they will start opposing Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Who is Rahul Gandhi to question Narendra Modi," he said.

Shah expressed confidence that even in absence of former BJP MLA Dinu Bogha Solanki, BJP will win the Kodinar seat and BJP will regain the reigns of Gujarat. Solanki has been charged with murder of RTI activist Amit Jethava and is in jail now.
