Govt opens GST training centres for minority youth

This course will be available at Gharib Nawaz Skill Development Centres, the first of which was launched by Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Saturday.

In order to train youth from minority communities in Goods and Services Tax, the Ministry of Minority Affairs is starting a new course alongwith other job-oriented skill development courses that are currently offered to them.

This course will be available at Gharib Nawaz Skill Development Centres, the first of which was launched by Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Saturday. While launching the centre in Hyderabad, Maqvi said that besides providing various job-oriented skill development courses, Gharib Nawaz Centres will also offer certificate course in Goods and Services Tax accounting/programming and other related subjects.

"After completing about three-months duration Goods and Services Tax course, youth will not only be able to help small-medium traders and the common people, but they will also be benefitted as it will open vast job opportunities in the related sectors," he said.

The GST course by Ministry of Minority Affairs will be offered with assistance of national and international experts on GST.

These centres will be established in 100 districts across the country, providing job-oriented skill training. Noida, Lucknow, Jaipur, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Bhopal, Indore, Allahabad, Mysore, Chennai, Goa, Gauhati, Kolakata, Patna, Kishanganj, Dehradun, Shahjahanpur, Rampur, Ranchi, Giridih, Mewat, Tijara, Panipat, Delhi, Uddhamsingh Nagar, Amritsar, Chandigarh and Mumbai are set to have such centres.

The short-term courses which will be offered at these centres include certificate course in health services, mobile and laptop repairing, computer hardware & networking, retail management programme, motor driving training, security guard training, courses in house keeping, among others.
