Amid the Sino-Indian border stand- off, an organisation founded by former RSS ideologue K N Govindacharya has called for boycotting Chinese goods and using products manufactured in the country.

The outfit, Rashtriya Swabhiman Andolan, will be launching a nationwide campaign, `Say no to China - Be Bhartiya buy Bhartiya' from tomorrow, an office-bearer said here today.

Addressing a press conference, the organisation's convener, Pawan Shrivastav, said the campaign calling on people to boycott Chinese goods will be launched in the city by Govindacharya, a former BJP general secretary.

He said the campaign will be conducted in more than 50 cities in the country from August 9 to September 6 and conclude in New Delhi.

Shrivastav said this movement will strengthen national self-respect and also self-reliance.

The campaign is being launched at a time when Chinese and Indian soldiers have been locked in a face-off in Dokalam in the southernmost part of Tibet in an area also claimed by Bhutan.

The stand-off started in mid-June when Indian troops stopped the Chinese army from building a road in the disputed area.
