Goa mining: SC upholds Justice Shah panel's recommendations

Mining companies have also been restrained from exporting and selling ores which has already been extracted.


The Supreme Court suspended all illegal mining operations in Goa as pointed out in Justice Shah Commission's report.

The Supreme Court restrained transportation of ore already mined by private firms.

The apex court asked the Central Empowered Committee
to submit a report on illegal mining activities in Goa in four weeks.
