Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar flew to Mumbai on Monday for treatment of his pancreatic ailment. Parrikar is also likely to fly abroad soon for medical treatment.
In a video message, a weak-looking Parrikar said he was going to Mumbai for treatment. "I thank all Goans. For last 15 days, you prayed for me and because of your blessings, I recovered and I'm heading to Mumbai, if doctors advise, then I may go abroad for few days. I hope your blessings continue and you allow me a few holidays," Parrikar said.

Parrikar has formed a committee of three ministers to run the state administration in his absence consisting of PWD minister Sudin Dhavalikar, urban development minister Francis D'Souza and town and country planning minister Vijai Sardesai. Parrikar is also expected to run the administration from abroad via video conferencing and emails.
Parrikar was admitted to the Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai last month for a pancreatic ailment and the budget session of the Goa assembly was curtailed to just four days. On the last day, Parrikar flew down to Goa for presenting a vote on account. Later, he was admitted to the Goa Medical College and Hospital at Bambolim for treatment.
