VHP leader Pravin Togadia blamed growing ‘impotency’ among Hindu men for the decline in the Hindu population and asked them to "go home and worship your manhood". Addressing a gathering at Jambusar in Bharuch district, he asked Hindu couples to have more kids.

He was quoted as saying by The Indian Express: “Ab to Hindu ghatega nahi, badhega … Dharmantaran ko na, ghar wapsi ko haan; love jihad ko na uniform civil code ko haan; Bangladeshi Muslim ko na… Hindu gharon me bachche paida karo (Now, the population of Hindus will rise… say no to conversion and yes to ghar wapsi; say no to love jihad and yes to uniform civil code; say no to Bangladeshi Muslims… have more children in Hindu households).

He also appealed for youngsters to give up tobacco and told them a 'product' he had created which could be mixed with one’s meals to make a person more potent. He said that it was available for Rs 600, but he was giving it out for Rs 500.

He also extolled the population to protect cows and questioned the government’s policy of ‘development without offering protection to Hindus’.

He said, “You are making bullet trains, smart cities, but who will travel in the trains if there is no Hindu?”

At the event, around 50 youths reportedly accepted trishuls or tridents, taking a pledge to “never misuse the trishul and use it for protection of the dharma; and to never use it on a fellow Hindu.”
