In view of Holi and counting of the UP Assembly polls, the Ghaziabad administration today said people caught disturbing peace and communal harmony would be booked under the National Security Act (NSA).
District Information Officer R B Singh said District Magistrate Nidhi Kesarwani, in a meeting today, directed police to be more alert during these days to thwart any untoward incident.
Kesarwani said those found in activities which may disturb peace and communal harmony will be booked under the National Security Act (NSA). No candidate will be permitted to take out victory processions.
The DM asked the SSP to instruct DSPs and SHOs to organise peace committee meetings at every police station.
