The Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) chairman Gajendra Chauhan on Monday met Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore amid row over his appointment as Pune-based institute's chief here on Monday.

The Supreme Court earlier rejected a PIL seeking its intervention on the deadlock between students and management over the appointment of Chauhan as the chairman of FTII. The FTII students are on a strike demanding the removal of TV actor and BJP member Gajendra Chauhan as the chairman.
