FTII midnight crackdown: Rahul slams government, says 'silence, suspend, arrest' is Modi Mantra for 'Acche Din'

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday tweeted in support of the FTII students and condemned the crackdown on the institute saying that students were not criminals. He also took a swing at Prime Minister saying that was arresting his mantra for Ache Din.

Rahul had already shown his support for the FTII students cause by personally visiting the university, interacting with the students and siding with their demands.

The Congress Party on Wednesday slammed the BJP-led NDA Government for the crackdown on the FTII students, saying it was a harbinger of the days to come.

"It's a harbinger of the days to come where if someone goes against the government they will be arrested, incarcerated, tortured and possibly sent to a concentration camp in the Kutch desert. This is how this government is behaving with the most creative minds on the entire Indian cinematic," Congress leader Manish Tewari told ANI here.
