Former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and ex-Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav died on Tuesday after prolonged illness in Lucknow.
Yadav (90) breathed his last at PGI Lucknow this morning, an official said here. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Public Relations and Water Resources Minister, Narottam Mishra have expressed grief over the demise of Yadav.
Yadav held the post as the UP CM when he belonged to the Janata Dal from 1977 to 1979. He later joined the Congress and ran for CM in 2004 and lost.
He was appointed as the MP Governor in 2011 by the UPA government.
He was alleged to have been involved in the Vyapam scam.
