A blueprint to flush out terrorists in joint operations by security forces in Kashmir has been prepared following the attack on Amarnath pilgrims. Efforts are being made to hunt down those involved in Monday's attack, sources said.

Army chief General Bipin Rawat and Director General Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) RR Bhatnagar reached Kashmir for a security review, and to draw a road map to intensify anti-terror operations, sources in the security establishment said.

A district wise list of active terrorists has been prepared segregating local and Pakistani terrorists putting the total number to 258. Of these 130 are locals and 128 Pakistanis. Shopian, Kulgam, Pulwama, Awantipora and Anantnag are the districts where locals outnumber Pakistani terrorists and are heading terror cells.

Security forces have been successful in killing 96 terrorists this year almost doubling last year's toll in the corresponding period. "We will continue with targeted operations based on specific intelligence to flush out terrorists from their hideouts," said an official in the security establishment.

Several meetings involving top officials of the security establishment including National Security Advisor Ajit Doval took place on Tuesday to discuss further course of action.

On Tuesday morning, Jammu and Kashmir Governor NN Vohra, who is also the Chairman of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB), convened an emergency yatra security review meeting.

Governor directed the heads of all the security forces to ensure strict enforcement of existing yatra security arrangements and see that there was no let up.
