Foggy weather in morning delays flights, trains in Jaipur

Sharjah-bound flight of Air Arabia got delayed by more than 9 hours. The Jet Airways also cancelled its noon flight .

Morning flights are routinely getting delayed by 2 to 3 hours at Jaipur Airport these days due to foggy weather, causing inconvenience to the passengers. But for Jet Airways, it proved beneficial on Sunday as it clubbed the passengers of two different flights into one. Both the flights were New Delhi-bound.

Sharjah-bound flight of Air Arabia got delayed by more than 9 hours due to foggy weather. The Air Arabia flight usually lands at Jaipur at 3.25 am and returns back to Sharjah at 4.05 am. On Sunday, it was diverted to New Delhi due to poor visibility at Jaipur Airport. Dense fog was reported at Jaipur Airport on Sunday early morning and no flight was able to land here.

Later, the flight reached Jaipur from New Delhi at 12.30 pm. Till then, more than 110 passengers remained stranded at Jaipur Airport for the flight.

Flight took off for Sharjah at 1.20 pm with a delay of over 9 hours. The Jet Airways, which operates four flights from Jaipur to New Delhi daily, cancelled its noon flight on Sunday. The passengers of this plane were clubbed in the morning flight which took off with a delay of five hours.  

The SpiceJet flight headed to Mumbai took off one-and-a-half-hour behind schedule.

This flight goes to Mumbai at 8.35 am. It took off at 10 am on Sunday.

The New Delhi-bound flight of Air India departed at 12 pm, with a delay of 55 minutes.

Meanwhile, 13 trains arrived late at Jaipur Junction. Besides, three trains were rescheduled.
Sriganganagar-Rishikesh, Sriganganagar-New Delhi and Ajmer-Sealdah trains were rescheduled with a delay of 6 to 8 hours on Sunday. Kolkata-Bikaner Express was running very late. It arrived at Jaipur junction with a delay of 14 hours.

Meanwhile, 12 other trains also arrived late by 1 to 13 hours on Sunday.
