A BJP MLA lathicharged a horse during the party's protest against Himachal Pradesh CM Harish Rawat on Monday.

The horse, injured by BJP MLA Ganesh Joshi, was taken to Indian Military Academy's Veterinary Hospital. The doctors are saying that the horse's leg will have to be amputated. A case will be filed against the BJP MLA.

"You are using lathi on a horse? I think the word 'tolerance' is not there in the dictionary of BJP," Uttarakhand CM.

BJP MLA Ganesh Joshi denied injuring the horse during BJP protest. "The horse was not given any water throughout the day. As soon as some water was given to the horse he was fine, he was just thirsty. I am not at fault at all."

The incident happened when thousands of BJP workers had on Monday taken out a march here and tried to 'gherao' the Uttarakhand Assembly, alleging that the state government had failed on all fronts.
