Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Monday said first-time MLAs would not be made minister in her government and that they should focus on development works in their respective constituency, instead of dreaming of a "car with red beacon".

Addressing a training workshop of first-time BJP MLAs, Raje said those who have been elected for the first time should focus on their constituency and perform so that they get re-elected. She also asked the MLAs not to get involved in transfer and posting of officers in their constituency and advised them to make "optimum utilisation" of available officers in developmental works.

The chief minister asked the first-time MLAs to remain up-to-date on the achievements of the government, deliver proper response to party workers' queries and give on priority on party activities.

In the workshop at a hotel here, Raje also said that the government would soon start the process of recruitment in 1.22 lakh vacant posts in the government sector.
