The BRD Medical College hit headlines following death of 33 children on August 10 and 11 after oxygen supply to the hospital was snapped.

Her colleagues claimed that Bharati was on night duty at the gynaecology department on Friday. She had complained of stomach ache at night and asked one of the junior doctors to give her an injection. After duty, she went off to her hostel room, where she allegedly took an overdose of anaesthesia.
